a random encounter at the bus-stop with yesterday led to a dinner with wei wei and charlene today. because the 4 of us were all separated to different classes after year 2, we never met up again after we graduated from high school 2 years later. so many years passed, we had the occasional FB bday msges but never initiated a meetup. till i bumped into wei wei yesterday.
turns out she happened to ask charlene for dinner and invited me to come along today. at dinner, all we could talk about was how time crept up on us just like that. and turns out we all work in the same area. looking at our old selves is a severe reminder to how much we have aged. the 4 of us were fucking skinny back then. today we’re battling the bulge, we’re all advocates of salad or sandwiches, we depend heavily on makeup, we insist on wearing heels. OH GOD.
and so we’re planning to have lunch together at boat quay, with our own home-made lunches next week. and another dinner date with vanessa in the coming weeks too.
funny how everyone from my past life seems to be working along this stretch. but it makes for good company :)
